Sci-Fi Surrealist Art

This is a loosely defined style of art that I am completely obsessed with. Some of my favourite examples include: ’50s/’60s paperback covers by artists like Steele Savage and Carlos Ochagavia; The incredible animated films made by René Laloux in collaboration with Roland Topor, Moebius and others (which I have written about previously here); ’70s Kosmiche, electronic and progressive rock album artwork, e.g. Urs Amann‘s cover designs for Klaus Schulze; modern practitioners such as the American artists Robert Beatty and Dan McPharlin, and the London design firm La Boca.
